The Spokane Art School is celebrating 50 years, and we couldn’t do it without you! We invite our wonderful community to help us commemorate 50 years of art and arts education on this special night in November. Hors d’oeuvres and drinks will be served.

> This will also be an early preview to the school’s very popular annual ornament and small works show featuring over 45 local artists with most of the work under $50.

About Tybre Newcomer: A Professor of Art at Spokane Falls Community College, Tybre Newcomer teaches Ceramics. His prior full time experience includes Monmouth College, Central Michigan University and Rochester Institute of Technology’s School for American Crafts. Other prior positions include Instructional Support Technician and Adjunct Professor at SUNY New Paltz in New Paltz, NY and an Instructor of Ceramics at Midwestern State University. Tybre was an Artist in Residence at the Tainan National University of the Arts in Tainan, Taiwan in 2004, at Springfield Pottery in Springfield, MO in 2005 and at Midwestern State University and in Wichita Falls, TX in 2012. In addition to teaching, he maintains an active studio and exhibits his work nationally.
