Portrait Drawing and Painting

For High School and Adult students

$80 for both sessions

Saturday, May 4 & 25, 2019

12 P.M. – 4 P.M.

Session 1

Drawing the Face

Students will learn the underlying structure of both the overall face and its individual features. We will discuss different drawing techniques. After viewing portraiture examples and going through demonstrations, the students will choose their drawing tools of choice (pastels, charcoal, pen, marker, pencil), and embark on their own pieces.

Session 2

Painting the Face

Students will learn how to represent the human face using acrylic paint on canvas. They will study the angles of the face and will be instructed on basic color theory and painting techniques before beginning their own paintings.
