As a passionate artist and art teacher at Mt. Spokane High School, I like challenging myself with new media. I have displayed paintings in national juried exhibitions such as the 2006 Arte Sagrado National Juried Exhibition at Concordia University in Austin, Texas, and the 2008 Celebrating Women: Their Strength and Vision National Women’s Juried Art Exhibit at Idaho State University in Pocatello, Idaho, as well as in regional juried and invitational exhibitions such as the 2005 All Media Juried Show at the Chase Gallery in Spokane, the 2005 Regional Juried Watermedia Exhibition at the Fox Theater in Spokane, the 2008 War on Want Exhibit at the Spokane Falls Community College, the 2008 Undone exhibition at the Clearstory Gallery in Spokane, The 2009 Wizard of Oz exhibition at the Tinman Gallery, and in various annual Eye4Art exhibitions of the Mead School District since 2006. Being a practicing artist, I hope to be an authentic role model for my art students at Mt. Spokane High School.
