The Inland Northwest’s Largest Plein Air Art Festival

May 16, 2026, 10am-4pm

Forest to Frame is a free, family-friendly celebration of creativity inspired by the natural beauty of Finch Arboretum. This unique event invites you to stroll scenic trails, observe local artists in action, and enjoy hands-on activities for all ages.
Whether you’re an art lover, nature enthusiast, or simply looking for a fun day outdoors, Forest to Frame brings together creativity and community in this vibrant annual celebration.

What to Expect

Attendees will have the opportunity to watch artists in action as they capture the arboretum’s landscape in a wide variety of mediums, participate in art workshops for kids and adults, and enjoy tasty food and drinks from local vendors.

After the event, artworks will be showcased in a gallery at the Spokane Art School and auctioned off online, with proceeds supporting artists, the Spokane Art School, and the future of the event.

This event is more than just a celebration of art — it’s an opportunity to connect with your community, appreciate the beauty of nature, and support local creativity. Bring your family, your friends, and your curiosity for a memorable day of art, nature, and inspiration!
