Crosswalk is an emergency shelter located in downtown Spokane. For more than 30 years, the Spokane Art School has provided art instruction for homeless junior high and high school age students. Once a week an artist teaches 2.5 hours of art instruction. Projects range from painting, drawing, sculpture and printmaking to working with non-traditional materials. The art program at Crosswalk is made possible by a grant from the Carl M. Hansen Foundation.
