Born in Spokane, Washington, Hannah Pomante is a printmaker who explores the various ways in which to portray the natural world around us. Hannah attended Whitworth University, earning a degree in the two-dimensional arts and minors in environmental studies and art history. Currently, she resides as the Artist-in-Residence at Spokane Art School, specializing in nature printing. She has won multiple awards, which include winning the 42 Annual Superintendent’s Art Show in Washington, as well as recently receiving a Spokane Art Grant Award. Her current grant project, created with collaborators Katie Smith and Melissa Jones, is a large-scale eco-friendly moveable bird nest. It is currently being transported throughout the area, bringing art and nature to the youth of Spokane.
